The app provides real-time access to LPD information, events, and crime alerts, and allows the public to submit real-time tips, no matter where they are.
With the LPD app, users can view crime maps of activities in their neighborhood or across the city, and sign up for alerts that can be delivered to their cell phone or email. Additionally, the app allows users to follow and communicate with LPD through a direct link to the department's Twitter account and review the latest LPD information on Facebook. Users can also easily locate all LPD police employees and department locations.
One of the most remarkable features of the app is the capability to submit tips to help fight crime, anonymously chat with an LPD employee, and file some non-emergency police reports online.
